Raizo Turns 1: Ant's Pocket

Ok a little history first, I met Anne last year during the World Bazaar. I was looking for suppliers for a possible business venture (which didn't happen) and I chanced upon her booth. I got her number and you can say the rest is history. We became good friends and now we join bazaars regularly as partners and also separately. She really is a heaven sent!
Ant's Pocket

I didn't want to hire a party planner or event stylist to do the venue because of budget constraints. I initially got Anne to do our giveaways, centerpieces and robot antennas. Then eventually I asked Anne if she can also do the backdrop.

I really appreciate the time and effort they put in their work. Everything was handmade! All photos below are grabbed from their Facebook Page.
Chie doing our backdrop
Ang dami nila! I sent her the favor bags and stickers to pack the giveaways. Thank you so much talaga!

Anne went to Shakey's early to set up along with Chie and her kids.
Our simple handmade backdrop!
Our centerpieces! I bought the tin cans at Divisoria for Php40 each. Used Paper Chic paper straws to hold the robots and balloons from Yan-ple's Party Shop.

I had about 100 bag tags made. I gave these away to everybody and I still have some with me pa. My sisters collected them all! LOL. They were all put inside Paper Chic's favor bags and sealed with Thank You stickers from Candy Shop (blogged about it here)
Cute noh?

I also had robot antennas made. I gave one to each kid. I'm glad some of the boys were game to wear it hehe!
Around two weeks before the party, I was thinking of "making" robot costumes for Y and R. I thought kaya ko pa mag DIY. Saw these on Pinterest.
Cute diba? But I had no time to make it so I had Anne made it for me too! I showed her the photos and sabi ko siya na bahala. No measurements were taken. She had it sewn by a  modista they know. And I was happy with the outcome! And the kids are using them again for Halloween! Yay!
Whattafez ako pero I want to show you how the costume looks like! Ganda diba?

I'm really happy with Ant's Pocket! And I'm really glad I met her last year. She's really a blessing to me! Thank you Anne and Chie!!!

We'll be at the Mommy Mundo Bazaar! Visit us there! Meanwhile, check their Facebook Page and Instagram accounts!

Raizo Turns 1: Tazzy Cakes

Ok, 4 months later I'm still not yet done with R's party suppliers! Let's do this!

I was already set on having Raizo's cake to be made by Tazzy Cakes. I wrote about my niece's cake which is also made by Tazzy Cakes here. It was so pretty that I'm sure R's cake will also be as fab!
Catz, the owner and mother baker of Tazzy Cakes is super easy to transact with. I gave her my budget and some pegs and our invitation. Not necessarily copy the pegs but to serve as inspiration for the cake.
It was really hard to look for robot cake theme inspiration on the net. I initially wanted robot cake, a standing/sitting robot cake but Catz said the cake won't hold. Baka hindi din abot budget ko, ambisyosang frog lang hihi!
Cute noh?
And so the week before R's party, Catz called to confirm the colors of my theme and if it's possible na surprise na lang daw ang design ng cake. Of course I said YES! You can never go wrong with Tazzy Cakes! Wala pa ata akong naririnig na bad feedback from anyone who had their cakes made by Catz!

So on the day of the party, I was excited to see what Catz did. And here's the cake!!!
May sitting robot pa din!
I loved the cake! Galing mo talaga Catz!

I also had cupcakes made. Forgot how many I ordered. 24 cupcakes I think. But for the budget I've provided, it's super sulit! Her chocolate cake and cupcakes are super yummy! Seriously! My sister asked for four cupcakes, one of each color.
Super yummy promise!

Thank you again Catz for the cake! It was a super easy and smooth transaction! I highly recommend her to every mom! You won't be disappointed!

Raizo Turns 1: Yan-ple's Party Shop

When I was canvassing for balloon decors, most of what was quoted to me was in the range of 10k-16k. OMG. I didn't have that big of a budget and I only need simple decors. Then I remembered I kept a file from Y's 1st birthday and that's where I got my supplier for party decors.

Yan-ple's decor packages are very affordable which was swak na swak sa budget! We only transacted via email. I showed her our theme colors and what she recommends for the venue since she already did decors at Shakey's Quezin Ave already.
I had balloon drops, 2 pillars and a cake arch.
I had everything done for less than Php7,000. It was simple but enough to may the place looks festive! At nagamit pa ng next party... Hihi!

Raizo Turns 1: Paper Treats, Paper Chic Studio and The Candy Shop Prints

My go-to graphic designer for invitations is Paper Treats. Trisha did my niece's invitation, Paper Chic Studio's flyer, business card and now Raizo's invitation, thank you cards, and stubs!

Trisha of Paper Treats is very easy to work with. We only corresponded via email. I showed her my pegs and sample invitations that I saw over at Pinterest. We had three revisions before the final invitation.

Super cute right? I love love everything! And we're also collaborating on something for Paper Chic Studio! So watch out for that! :)

For printing and other party effects, my other go-to person is Pat Leano of The Candy Shop Prints. She is in the printing business and I love her other products which you must check out! I had everything printed by her (but you can also have Paper Treats print for you). I got stickers for my invitation, name tags and thank you stickers.

And here's how my invitation looked like. I love DIY. It looks homemade hihi but I loved it!
Used Paper Chic Studio's favor bags as envelopes and sealed them using robot washi tapes also from Paper Chic Studio!
Thank you cards tied to our giveaways using Paper Chic Studio's baker's twine!
Stubs given out for tokens to be claimed to used at Shakey's Fun Zone!
