Of Birthdays and Baby Showers

January was a busy month, yes busier than December, can you imagine that? I had to postpone something to April because everyone was busy! Heehee! And I actually only noticed that a lot of my friends celebrated their birthday on January. Hindi ko yon napapansin! Two of the SoMoms celebrated two of my favorite events/celebrations, a baby shower and a (surprise) birthday party!

Chessy of Young Mom Love is pregnant (and has given birth already! Congrats Bry and Chessy!) with her second child and it's a girl! We were all so happy for her because her firstborn is a boy, Z, and now she has one of each! She had her baby shower last month at their home and the theme was "Guess How Much I Love You", the popular children's book!
Loved the styling! Yes that's R claiming the chair as his own. Hihi!
Dessert buffet: we loved the cake pops! And my kids enjoyed the ice gems and marshmallows! Hihi!
Wrote a note for Brianna too!
There was a bunny pen and kids get to feed them! Hindi na sila umalis dyan.
There were games, I lost this one but I won Php500 Red Ribbon GCs because I guessed how big Chessy's tummy is!
Yay for Y's baon!
Thank you Chessy for inviting us!

Surprise parties are one the most fun, exciting yet stressful party to plan and execute and we were able to surprise Kris! We all communicated thru FB Messenger, Kris thought we're having a food tasting at Maximo when in reality she was planning her own party hahaha! But the plan worked! Eli picked her up in their house, made drama in the car, drove slower than usual, made deliberate wrong turns just to stall while we wait for everyone to arrive at Maximo.
This is ground floor dining area. There's a 2nd floor where we had the party, you can also have your private parties or functions here too.
Decor were brought home all the way from Canada!
Food was setup buffet style! This was taken towards the end of the part na hence the almost empty chaffing dishes! Hehe!
Surprise success!

Right after Kris arrived, it was time to eat! Our table ordered Beef Rendang ala carte because we heard it was good and we wanted to try it!
This was so good! Mushroom Chicharon + Cilantro Aioli Dip!
Beef Rendang, rice pa more!
Clockwise: Pasta, Baked Iberian Chicken, Slow Roasted Beef Belly, and Maximo Salad
The Titas of Manila taking photos of the Beef Rendang. The fun was at this Noisy Table. Ahihihi!
May pa-games pa! Suzie Abrera and Eli hosted the games! Our table hoarded the prizes! Competitive!
Happy Birthday Kris! Online turned offline and real life friends. I'm glad to have these ladies in my life.
