Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Taal Vista Hotel Part 2

Read Part 1 here.

So we turned around and went back to the hotel. And since we got nothing to do, and I was a bit hungry, we decided to hang out and eat merienda at Lobby Lounge.

But before that, hubby and I checked out their viewing deck while Y and R were at the Kid's Corner with the yaya.
This is the hotel from the viewing deck
It was a very gloomy and wet weekend!

Ok, back to the Lobby Lounge! Based from their website, it has a Tudor style architectural. :) The room that we booked came with stubs for complimentary drinks at the Lobby Lounge so it was perfect!
Super sweet iced tea!
We had dessert for merienda! I wanted my coffee fix for the day so dessert was perfect! They were having a promo that afternoon: get a slice of any of their cakes on display and you get a free cup of coffee! We availed of that promo for yaya! Each of us (adults) had a cup of coffee and a cake! Yum!
Cake display! Their best seller is the blueberry cheesecake!
Yaya's blueberry cheesecake
The BOS's new york cheesecake with blueberry topping
and my volcanic eruption (their bestseller too!)
Ordered french fries for Y but she ate a little lang. Mommy and yaya ate them! Haha!
After our merienda, we went back to our room to rest and freshen up and get ready to go out again for dinner. Around 8pm, we headed out and it was raining. I really wanted to try Bag of Beans, so that's where we had dinner. But I won't be blogging about that because I didn't enjoy the dinner. The food was blah. Maybe because we ordered wrong. I was really disappointed! Should I go back and try it again? We literally ate and run! Y was tired na din that she's the last one to wake up on Sunday morning!
We had our breakfast at Cafe on the Ridge.
This was the first of my many plates! LOL
I enjoyed my breakfast! I loved the ensaymada and the chicken adobo. I didn't get to take much photo of the place because 10 minutes right after we sat down, it was 10 minutes left na lang til the buffet will be closed! So had to go to the buffet and take whatever we want! PG ang peg! LOL! Plus Y was being a bit difficult that morning and didn't want to eat anything. (Yun pala she has fever na!)
She only ate a few cereals, some cheese and a few bites of ensaymada.
After breakfast, I processed our checkout (kasi nga malayo ang room namin) and had our parking ticket validated and went back to our room. When we got to our room, the BOS said parang may fever si Y so we checked her temp, ayun nga meron ng lagnat. :( So we had to cancel our activities for that day and decided to come back home earlier.

Nonetheless, we had a wonderful stay at Taal Vista Hotel. It was our (long overdue) first family out of town trip! I enjoyed it and hoping we would come back again to Tagaytay soon and continue the fun I had originally planned!
