Just a Month Left

R is 7 weeks-old already and in 3 weeks I'll be back to work. So fast. It felt like I just gave birth last week. That only means I got 3 weeks to think and start something. A sideline, a business!

The BOS talked about this before I gave birth. But 3 weeks na lang and we haven't started anything yet. Well, there are potential suppliers but have yet to meet and see samples. It's all exciting but sometimes I get lost. Then all the excitement will pick up again after a week. Labo noh?

The last two weeks have been busy. Looking for suppliers, blog opportunities, a friend's baptism, kids's check up, DepEd Q&A. Not complaining but I'm wishing for something more. Basta yun!

Mochi Mochi Mochiko!

My favorite of the moment! Yummy mochis! Too bad I'm not pregnant anymore, I don't have an excuse to eat all I want. Hehe..
1 box costs Php400 for 6 mochis. I bought vanilla, green tea, milk tea, cookie dough, coffee, and oreo & milk. Their azuki is also a best-seller buy hubby and I are not fans of red bean so I picked coffee instead. I think they also have mango, chocolate and chocnut flavors!
I already ate vanilla and milk tea which I both love. Cookie dough was so so. I'll have the green tea later! Can't wait to get my hands on another box of these yummy goodness!!!

Small Joys + An OOTD

Yesterday was a full day for us. Kids had their monthly check-up. R had his tongue tie released (great relief for me!) .
Y playing at home before we left
It's been awhile since we took Y out. Wawa naman. I remembered they have those animal rides that Y can ride. So after R's doctor's appointment, we went to Lucky Chinatown!

Y was still sleeping when we got there so we went around first and I'm so happy to see Happy Lemon!!! Just because I was craving for bubble tea for so long since gelai! Serenitea and Bubble Tea still tops my list for my go-to milk tea!
Stores I didn't see the first time I went.
Cache Cache - first time I heard of this store
Bench is open and other Bench owned brands like Kasheica, Fix Salon, Human. I also saw Mary Grace restaurant and Kirin both now open. Can't wait for Cotton On to open!

UCC is also now open! Yay! Chocolate French Toast is now 15 minutes away from me (kung walang traffic!)
Went to Mango, browsed some clothes but bought nothing. Y woken up na by then so we took Y to ride the animal thing. I thought it was the one that moves by itself, hindi pala. She didn't know how to operate it so yaya and papa had to push her, while I sat on the benches with R. Php80 for 15 minutes was enough to make our little one happy!
We decided to go home after that bit first we bought coffee beans at Starbucks (where yaya recommended which ones are good, winner ka yaya!), and on our way up I saw a Mochiko kiosk! I've been wanting to try this for so long, so I don't have to go very far! We bought a box, yay!
I also bought Happy Lemon for me and yaya. So happy!
Ah.. Small joys!

And to end this post, an OOTD (outfit of the day) which I haven't done in so long. Kahit pambahay ang suot, kebs na lang! LOL! I look so fat!

Cebu It Was

I was browsing thru my iPhone's photos when I came across the photos from my trip to Cebu in 2010. These were some of the first photos I took in my iPhone. I was about 10 weeks pregnant with Y then and I was still thin, had short hair, with pumuputok na cheek bones and collar bones! LOL
I went with my 2 college barkada. Stayed Be Hotel in Mactan, toured the city, eat lechon, tried the adventures on top of Crowne Regency, went island hopping and eat more!
I miss going to the beach. I miss traveling. Hopefully this year we'll be able to go out of town with the kids!
And hopefully we'll be able to go back to Cebu and stay at Shangrila Mactan and have a perfect vacation!

Mommy Finds: Cuzo Carla Foldable Tote

I've been looking for a nice bag that's roomy and fashionable that can double as a baby bag. I've been wanting a Dwell Studio Madison Bag but it's out of the budget right now so I have to find a more affordable one.
Sometimes, I use my Michael Kors canvas bag but it's a bit big and it has no shape. Sometimes it's hard to find what you need inside the bag.
I first saw this at Shop Crazy. I badly want a new bag so I went retail therapy at Zalora at bought this.

It is about the same size of a Longchamp medium sized tote. It's made of nylon with leather trims and straps and it's lightweight!
It has a top handle and a removable body strap! Mommy approved!

I used this the first time two weeks ago to a shoot (Naks! Will post more of that!) and since I'm bringing the baby with me and no yaya yet, I put his stuff in my bag. (Y's stuff is in her own diaper bag which the yaya carries).
What's inside: changing pad; Manila Baby Shop's wet bag where I put R's extra clothes, diapers, and wipes; notebook; Dwell Studio pouch for my wallet, phone, and keys

See?! It's roomy enough to put more stuff in it! This is really a great buy! I can also use this for work or a day out with my friends. It's a very versatile bag and for only Php1,500.

I really really love my Cuzo bag!

Microwave Brownie in a Mug

I've been wanting to try this since I started using Pinterest, and seeing all those microwave cake and brownies. Not until the other day when Trisha tweeted that she made one.

Here's the recipe:
Yesterday morning I wanted something sweet so I tried to make one! But I don't hve unsweetened cocoa at home so I used Milo instead, skipped the sugar, and my butter was only about 1 Tbsp so I had to tweak the recipe!

This is how the "batter" looked like:
And this is how it turned out!
A little dry but for a quick fix, it is pretty good!
Try it! :)

Pump It!

In about a month, I'll be going back to work (so sad!). I need to start stock expressed breast milk. After being hidden away at the back of the cabinet for 8 months, I welcome back my old friend, the pump, my Philips Avent Isis Duo!
And so I started pumping this week. Usually, lactation consultants/counselors would advise to start pumping at 6 weeks. But I started at 5 weeks because I have a binyag to attend on Sunday and I'll be ninang! I'm not sure yet if I'll be bringing R with me.

My first pumping session yielded 4oz which made me so happy! I don't remember having this much milk before with Y. I pump once a day because R nurses almost every hour and I only get to pump when R naps during noon or at night when he sleeps longer.
I have now 23oz 27oz in the freezer! Yay!!! Will order mommy treats next week to boost my milk supply!

Sibling Rivarly?!

I hope not! Well, not yet. More of sibling jealousy for now, I think.

When we brought home R from the hospital, we introduced Y to R. We told her this is her shoti and that she should love him, etc. The first time I nursed R in front of Y, she said "ayaw shoti, ayaw shoti!". I think she got confused. I would tell her that shoti needs mommy's milk. Many times after that, she would insist to nurse too, I would let her but she would just open her mouth and just touch the nipple with her teeth, pull away, then smile at me. I guess she just wanted attention.
There are days when she sees me about carry R, she would say again "ayaw mommy!". I would put down R first and play with her then carry R again. I would tell her to kiss and hug her shoti. At first, ayaw niya. But eventually she kisses and hugs R... there are times she would ask to popo (carry in Fukien) shoti. But now, ayaw nanaman!
I guess we are still adjusting. I miss my quality time with Y. The baby and I are a package deal nowadays, nursing almost every hour. If not, he wanted to be carried all the time. Even if I wanted to play with Y, it's always 5 minutes lang. She's always with her yaya... We still co-sleep which is great, we get to bond before sleeping but of course that is not the same. Oh well...
Of course, at one point in their childhood, they will fight and argue, but I hope they'll outgrow that. One thing I really hope and wish is that Y and R grow up to be close and be the best of friends.

Mommy Bazaar: Looking For a Small Space

Hello dear readers! It's a very wet and gloomy Saturday. Stay safe and dry everyone!

Yes, Mommy Bazaar... Over Twitter the last week, some mommies and I have exchange tweets on how we wish we could sell our pre-pregnancy clothes and pre-loved baby things. Sana there's something like a Bloggers United but for mommies!

And so we're looking a small space where we can hold the bazaar. Anyone knows where we can rent? Probably in Makati or Ortigas area.

Thank you!!!

Y's List of Words

Three months ago, I was worried that Y's vocabulary was limited. She blabbers a lot but no clear words yet. I was worried she's delayed. Well, some kids may be more advanced than her but I don't want to pressure her.

Fast forward now, at 22 months, she knows quite a lot of words, I think. She's quick to learn new words so we're careful at what we say in front of her. She understands what we say to her, nauutusan na din, but she's stubborn sometimes.

Here's what I can remember:
