A Batik Dyeing Crafternoon at L'indochine, SM Mega Fashion Hall

I've always had a thing for batik. My MIL lives in Indonesia and whenever she asks what we want for pasalubong, we would always request for coffee and batik dresses or sets for the kids and she always grants them (Thanks, Mama!)! So when I was invited by Janice to a Batik Dyeing Workshop, I immediately said YES!
Workshop with none other than craft queen Alessandra Lanot of Life After Breakfast!

The workshop was held at L'indochine's flagship store in SM Mega Fashion Hall. I've been to their store in SM Aura but this was my first time in Mega Fashion Hall and the store is three times bigger and has a wider selection!
I felt like I was transported into different Asian countries but it's just all in one place! There's clothes, accessories, furnitures, home wares and more! They are all lovingly and expertly curated by Charlene Carlos and Leona Panutat, the duo behind L'indochine.

We arrived a bit late because we came from Y's RSGK Demo. I don't want to miss this because of Alessandra Lanot. Hihi! I am crafty but not as crafty as BOS and Alessandra (Naks, close?) and so I want to learn from the queen.
We were each given 2 pillows and 2 pillowcases. I only got to made one and Y helped me with it. As you can see, siya ang gumagawa. I was with Shen, Paula (naks, close din? ahihihi! She was super nice, btw), Michelle and Janice.
Kids enjoying the session too! Y was happy to see Izzy.
This was Michelle came up with. Uhm, tao ka ba? Heehee! This was free hand ha! Ang galing!!! Nakakahiya yung sa akin. Haha!
Isa ka pa, Shen. Hehehe! Look at that detail and colors!
Left was my work and right was Y's with a little bit of help from me. Our kindergarten-looking project. Ahihi! It's now in our living room and Y is proud of it! So kebs. Hihihi!

I didn't know there was a contest pala for the best design. If I only knew, I should have brought BOS with me hahaha! And of course, Michelle won! Wuhoo!
Congrats Michelle! You deserve it! Wuhoo!

After the workshop, we had a little snack then took more photos of the store. There's no corner in this store that is not picturesque! And I wanted to take everything home. I can live in L'indochine! Pwede?
I wish I have a big kitchen and kitchen cabinets so I can buy all of these!
More clothes and bags!
One can never have enough throw pillows!
More plates and bowls!

Thank you Janice, Life After Breakfast and L'indochine for this awesome crafternoon! I'm glad I went to this event, I got to bond with Y over batik dyeing and we also watch Cinderella after! We took home so much goodies from all the sponsors and I must say it's one of the best loot bags ever! Looking forward to your future workshops and hope Y and I can attend one of them again!
