A&D Travels: Halloween Trip and Treat at Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay

Halloween this year has been one of the best Halloweens and fun family trips we've ever had. It has been awhile since we last visited Tagaytay and I've been itching to go out of town since Y started going to school!

We all met up in Shell SLEX to fuel up first before going up to Tagaytay.

Y was excited with her Oreo snack while the other one was bored and didn't want to sit in his car seat! Haha!

Since it was a Monday, our trip to Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay was fairly short. We arrived just before lunch and received a very warm welcome from Hotel Kimberly!
Loved the warm welcome and the Halloween set-up!

And while waiting for our room, the kids had a ball playing at the big playground and field!
Kids loved the playground so much that they don't want to leave!
They loved outdoors! Sulitin ang fresh air and big playground which are rare in the city!

One of the highlights of this trip for my kids was the mini petting zoo! A lot of my friends who've seen my IG posts on the petting zoo wanted to take their kids to Hotel Kimberly too! I honestly didn't expect a lot but I was really impressed and the kids loved the zoo! As in LOVED!
We went to the petting zoo three times during our stay!
Feed the bunnies!
Feed the bunnies again...
Repeat three times. Notice the outfit change ha. This was the next day na before we left.
You can also feed the rams. Or is it sheep? Hehe! Just ask the kuyas for the greens to feed the animals.
Kids also enjoyed feeding the chickens and ducks. Agawan sila sa pag tapon ng feeds. Haha! The petting zoo also has peacocks, cockatoo, turkeys, and an owl. Plus they now have a pony!

We then had our first meal at Cafe at K, where we also had our dinner that night, breakfast and lunch the next day.
This was lunch! I was too busy with the kids that I forgot to take photos of the food! But I remember the Lechon Kawali, Kare-Kare, and Bulalo were good!

After the yummy lunch, we got to rest for a bit at the game room where we also had our Halloween Dessert Buffet set-up and program before checking-in to our Premier Room.
Dark photo, I know! Sorry. With a makulit toddler in tow, this was the only decent photo of our room but you can see naman that our room was big! Big enough for an extra bed pero may space pa din! BOS was supposed to come with us but cannot leave work. Boo!
This is the photo from their website :) The bathroom is clean and pasado na. But our door was so noisy every time you open and close the door.

After settling down and changed Y into her Halloween costume, I went down again to the game room and helped Mish and Tina with our dessert buffet (which you can read about here) and so that R can nap too!
Gia preparing the cupcakes and my little photobomber. Hehe!
Sweet treats for the kids and kids-at-heart! I had so much fun putting this all together with Mish and Tina!

At around 4PM, kids were all in costumes and ready to tour the hotel and for some treat and treat! Hihi!
From the lobby to the swimming pool area...
To the area near the petting zoo! Kids all got treats, even the yayas and mommies enjoyed the treat and treat... kasi kami ang kakain ng candies after the event hehehe! Kidding aside, the kids seriously had fun and loved what they got!

But the fun didn't stop there, the YBS girls prepared games for us! Ako nanaman yung not participating because R was so malikot! I got Y to join the doughnut eating contest because she wanted to get a prize! She's usually shy and doesn't like to join contests even in birthday parties but I'm glad she tried this time. :)
Haha! She's so kyot! She really wanted to win a prize! She's not supposed to touch the doughnut pero pagbigyan na ang youngest contender hehe!
It was such a fun afternoon with the mommies, dads and the kids. I was wiped out by the end of the day. I wanted to go out pa sana and meet with a co-mommy in school who's also in Tagaytay but hindi na talaga kaya so I slept early that night!

I woke up early the next morning and was excited to have breakfast but the kids woke up late. Napasarap ang tulog!
It must be the Tagaytay weather!

And when the kids woke up, to the buffet breakfast we go! I always look forward to breakfast whenever we're out of town. And Cafe at K didn't disappoint.
The breakfast spread!
Huli ka, Neva! Hihi! Manilamommy getting her bacon fix!
Chicken Adobo and Danggit (?)
This squid was yummy! Perfect sa kanin!
No breakfast is complete without BACON!
Pancakes!
Breads, jams and butter
Arroza Caldo all you can!
Egg and Waffle Station. Omelet with everything please!
Coffee and juice.

After breakfast, it was swimming time for Y! R didn't get to swim because he had fever over the weekend before our trip so I borrowed Cars 2 DVD from the reception and let him watch it in our room while I stayed and watched Y and because I forgot to bring my swimsuit!
Y thought she won't be able to swim na because it drizzled then the sun came out again!
He wanted to swim but I didn't allow him.
At home na at home. Hehe!
He loved this mini bridge. He made his car slide down!
Loved that Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay has a kiddie pool!
Don't be fooled by the sunny weather. The water was cold! I don't know how Y can stand the cold haha!
She swam and played while I sip on my mango shake!

She had a short swim lang because it was cold nga. I told her not to stay long din and true enough her lips went purple after taking a bath. Eeeep! After everybody took a bath, packed our bags and had our last lunch at Cafe at K. We went back to the playground and petting zoo one last time before we left.
R loved the bunnies so much. As in. I got paranoid he might get bitten! Well, he got peed on. I know, yuck. I had to change him before we leave.

If you are planning to go to Tagaytay anytime soon, I highly suggest that you book at Hotel Kimberly (check out Deal Grocer). The staff are really nice and attentive. You don't have to worry about your kids getting bored because they will spend so much time and will have a bunch of fun at the playground, petting zoo, game room and the pool. Food choices may be limited but you can always go out and eat. It is just a short drive from the hotel to the main highway where the restaurants are.

And with that I would like to thank Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay for having the SoMoms and for being part of our Halloween getaway. It really was memorable stay for me especially for my kids! We will definitely be back!
