Do you have must-visit shops whenever you go to certain malls? I do! I make it a point to visit these stores, they're like my wasteland but more expensive! Well, except for Japan Home Store and Daiso.

And last but certainly not the least is True Value! I used to dread going to True Value because I always thought True Value is just a hardware. But it's not! So much good finds!

A&D Weekend Guide: MaARTe Artisan Fair 2014 and Bento 101 With The Bento Mommas!

Happening this weekend! Prepare your shopping money! Or join the Bento 101 with The Bento Mommas! Heehee!

maARTe is a volunteer-run endeavor that showcases museum-quality Philippine arts and crafts. It will bring together up to sixty (60) participants engaged in the production of handcrafted, indigenous, and artisanal products not commonly found in the malls, thereby providing visitors a unique shopping experience.

Here's just ome of the things you'll see at the fair! I wish I can go! If you love handmade and artisan products, this is the bazaar for you!

A&D Eats: Breakfast For Dinner at Hatch 22

Two weeks ago, Mish, Chessy and I had the opportunity to meet the people behind Limitless Ventures, the ones who brought Disney Live! to Manila happening this September! And it so happens that Ivan and Miles of Limitless are also part owners of Hatch 22!

I've been wanting to eat at Hatch 22 for the longest time but the timing isn't always right. It's either  the line was long or I have a bazaar in Rockwell Tent and couldn't have lunch that long! Hatch 22 is a cafe and a bakery! I didn;t know the latter! They serve comfort food with a twist.

Whenever I dine out, I don't only check out the food but also the interiors. I love a good ambiance.

It's been a long time since I went on a night out and it's also been a long time since the last time I was in Ponti! OMG! College days pa ata!

Il Ponticello serves Italian food. I remember eating pizzas and drowning ourselves with Azzuri! Today, it serves more than just that!

Fleur and I were the first ones to arrive. Excited? I wanted to be early so we can go home early din haha! Yes, lola na talaga! Hahaha! Our first nanay night out was actually a year in the making! And now that we've finally sent out, it was also Jenny's despedida. Huhu! I miss you na Jenny! We ordered drinks first while waiting for the other mommies to arrive.

 And since we got hungry while waiting, we asked to have our appetizers served.

 Dunk and chomp! Bread plus olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

And when the mommies started to arrive, we had our soup served na. The soup was Minestrone but it's not the usual Minestrone na tomato based.

Minestrone Siciliana which has Cannellini Beans, Mixed Root Vegetables, Fresh Pasta, Broth, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto

Vongole. I love their version of Vongole! It's not only clams but I like that it has veggies! 

Amatriciana. It's Spaghetti, Onion, Tomato Sauce, Gradana Padano Pancetta

In between chismisan and catching up with the other SoMoms, the star of the night, the one we were all looking forward to was served. Porchetta!

Oh what beauty! It was tender , juicy and super duper yummeh. I like the Arugula Salad on the side.

Cholesterol! But it was so worth it!!

Our sweet ending that night: a sampler of  desserts! There's Tiramisu, Cheesecake Panna Cotta and Vesuvius Budino AJ Cioccolato!

The SoMoms had so much fun that night! It's our first night out with alcohol involved heehee! SoMoms, let's do this at least once a month! It's the perfect me time and bonding with you girls. Although we're sad that Jenny had to leave again, we'll see you next year ha!
