Basil Thai Restaurant

Photos in this post are a bit hazy and blurry as the place has romantic lighting.. Hihi..

After a tiring day of being a tindera at tindero, the BOS and I decided to have an impromptu dinner date at Basil. We've been wanting to try this resto for so long and last Friday, we had  a chance to!

We knew that you have to reserve for a table if you want to dine at Basil so before leaving the bazaar, we called them up for reservation. On our way to the resto, we kind of got lost pa kasi we're not familiar with the area that we had to stop at a gas station and asked for directions. Turns out we were right naman and I actually knew where it is! Hihi!
We got to Basil around 5 minutes before 6PM and the guard said they're still closed. They'll be open at 6PM and asked if is it ok for us to wait at their garden. And after a few minutes, we were ushered in to our table. I was excited to order!

When I entered the place, it smelled like lemongrass. I think. You'll notice agad that there's a fish pond inside. The place is dim lighted, pang date ang ambiance! Hehe... We were given the menu. (While at the bazaar, I already checked reviews and what were the recommended dishes) So I kind of knew what to order na.

Mabigat ang menu nila ha!
After ordering and while waiting for our food, I took some photos of the place.
There's BOS right there, can you see?
For our drinks... I ordered Thai Iced Tea of course. Hubby ordered for Organic Hot White Tea.
And now our food! Dendenden...
Bagoong Rice, probably the best I've had!
Chicken with Cashew Nuts
Wagyu with Holy Basil
Everything was good! The Wagyu beef was tender and juicy. The chicken was ok, reminds me of general's chicken but we finished it anyways. Hehe.. I love the cashew! We love the bagoong rice and the Tom Yum soup!

At dahil, gluttony ang peg namin for that night, we ordered dessert kahit na we're so full from our main course just because we wanted to try e and it might take us a long time before we can come back here.
Mango with Sticky Rice
Also good but I like the Mango with Sticky Rice better!
Oh my! We were so bondat after eating. Thai really is my favorite cuisine! I want to go back and take my sister and my papa there. Although the price is a bit steep, we paid almost 2k just for the 2 of us but we ate alot kasi hehe, I still want to go back and try more dishes!

There are only a few good Thai resto in the city, I hope this one stays!

Basil is located at Katipunan Avenue corner White Plains Avenue, Quezon City. It’s right across the White Plains Subdivision sign.
