VOID Watches is an independent boutique watch brand launched in 2008 as the vision of Swedish designer David Ericsson. VOID Watches has a unique take on watch design using simple yet expressive shapes, giving our watches an almost architectural expression. Just like a great building is designed to fit its environment, all VOID Watches are made to sit perfectly on your wrist.

VOID Watches with their delicately proportioned half glass, half stainless steel front represents the intriguing forces within the dualities of life; the yin and the yang, the past and future, love and hate. The designer is inspired by the horizon – the line where the sky and the sea join, the coming together of the elements, that by its harmony of tone seems to lead to a reconciliation of opposites.

VOID - In astronomy, voids are the empty spaces between filaments, the largest-scale structures in the Universe, that contain very few, or no, galaxies. Voids typically have a diameter of 40 to 500 million light years. Time is a strange thing, it’s the most precious of commodities but we can’t see it, we can’t control it. We can only measure it – similar to the big empty spaces in space with nothing in them that are referred to as voids.

The design draws heavily on the Scandinavian design tradition using simple geometries and materials often found in architecture. The solid stainless steel case comes in various colours and surfaces, the watch has a mineral glass crystal and the strap is made of high quality leather. The inverted LCD-display set in its stainless steel frame in combination with the traditional leather strap creates an elegant contrast between the old and the contemporary, the technological and the organic.

Sophisticated, simple, beautiful, VOID Watches are an everyday luxury. The functions are in line with the design – simple and to the point, bringing something different to the conservative watch industry. The main objective has been to create a unique product using as simple geometries as possible and bring them to life by using honest, traditional materials.

V01EL Collection

You might not see it right away but we have reengineered the entire watch from the original V01 to include a larger, backlit display (hence the extra button). To increase readability even more, we have also selected a new high contrast material for the lens. It is available in 6 distinctive styles: Black, White, Brushed, Polished, Gold and Copper, all in stainless steel.

The latest addition to our V01EL range is the V01EL WHITE. Made from the same high quality stainless steel as our other watches, the case is coated with a ceramic-based white paint. The iconic buttons, polished stainless steel surface and display is the same as on all our other watches. The V01EL WHITE is the first in a series of colourful versions of the V01EL.

V02 Collection

A year after launching the successful V01, we introduced the new addition to our range, the V02. The V02 is the analogue extension of the V01 using the exact same geometry with a delicately proportioned half glass, half stainless steel front, but with a novel interpretation on a classic speedometer dial.

The V02 uses two ‘compass needle’ hands, the short hand representing the hours and the long indicating the minutes, as on other watches. Each hand has one red and one white tip where each coloured tip corresponds to the number with a matching colour on the dial. The movement is made in Japan.
